The Schools Health and Safety team provide aHealth and Safety service for schools and academies. As part of this team you will be assisting educational establishments in their compliance with health and safety law, providing training and reviews of guidance, undertaking site visits and inspections across Nottingham and the greater East Midlands area. Key to the position will be building on current relationships with existing school customers, and to bring a commercially focussed approach to further develop the service and identify new clients across the region.

*ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS:* Qualified to a minimum of NEBOSH Diploma or equivalent, with extensive knowledge of Health and Safety legislation, particularly in the education field.
A good understanding of the current development of emergency planning in a school and local authority context.
Ability to produce written reports of Health and Safety audits, inspectons, and investigations.
An ablity to communicate and engage effectively with school clients, colleagues, and other external bodies.
Experience of delivering Health and Safety training courses.

In this new role the Business Support Manager will be will be responsible for bringing together administrative officers from different Support Service into a new team working together to meet the administrative needs of all the SEND Inclusion Support Services.
Nottingham City SEND Inclusion Support Services provide support in the home and educational provision for children and young people with SEND. High quality Support Services are essential to support the successful inclusion of pupils in all phases of education.
The Business Support Manger will have responsibility for a team of up to 8 admin staff. This involves day-to-day management of the team as well as performance management.
The successful candidate will be an experienced manager. Their main role will be to liaise with Support Services Team Leaders to identify priorities and develop consistent administrative processes and systems for the business support teams. The successful applicant will be committed to delivering excellent standards in administration and business support services. They will have excellent management skills, a track record for innovative service development and experience of marketing & commersialisation.
Many of the Support Services teams deliver traded services. This is a growing area work for the Teams and consequently the administrative systems need to be reviewed and appropriate to these developments.

The role will be responsible for developing further commercialization opportunires.th

The post is based at Dragon Court, Woolsthorpe Depot, Woolsthorpe Close, NG8 3BP*.

* *ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS:* Ability to, and experience of managing and developing staff effectively, including recruitment and performance management
