anniversary of the passage of the Voting Rights Act, which
eliminated discriminatory barriers to voting across the nation.
Passing this legislation was a huge accomplishment -- and
protecting it has to be a priority now. I'm asking you to stand
with me in support of the Voting Rights Advancement Act.

Our legislation restores the power of the original Voting Rights
Act, making it possible to prevent discriminatory changes to
state voting laws and procedures.
It ensures that every American -- regardless of what he or she
