Can you believe it is already October 16?

By this time this month, I thought we’d be hard at work passing our budget, and I definitely thought we would have a Speaker of the House. But MAGA Republicans’ nonstop chaos has stopped the House in our tracks and prevented us from moving anything forward.

Currently, the plan is to head into a vote on a Speaker tomorrow at 12 p.m., but who knows what will happen. Democrats stand steadfast by our leader, Hakeem Jeffries, but Republicans these days aren’t steadfast about anything.
