Our government cannot function without a House of Representatives. And the House cannot function without a Speaker.

While I hope my Republican colleagues put aside their differences and elect someone to lead the House, it’s more clear than ever that the most surefire way to restore order to the House is to secure a Democratic majority in the upcoming election.

And John, there is no path to a Democratic majority if we can’t defend Georgia’s 2nd District — the most competitive House race in a critical swing state.
