This package of bills is designed to repeal abortion clinic licensing regulations and informed consent provisions (including the 24-hour waiting period), leading to dangerous lack of safety and health standards at abortion clinics across Michigan. Your voices are having an impact! The House has not yet voted on this package of bills, which is good news. The Senate committee on Housing and Human Services just took testimony and there has not been a vote yet. Therefore, we must stay vigilant and let those who represent us know what we think. CTV House Testimony CTV Senate Testimony ACTION ALERT: Protect free speech from proposed new rule under Biden administration The Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) has just proposed a new regulation that would stifle free speech by redefining what counts as "workplace harassment." The Family Research Council says that under this rule, "members of the workforce who are pro-life or who do not hold to the tenets of gender identity ideology could be found guilty of harassment for expressing or living in accordance with their views." They've set up a campaign to defeat this proposed rule. ACTION NEEDED: The period for public comment on this proposed rule ends on November 1st. Submit a public comment now expressing your opposition to this rule to the EEOC! Click Here to Act Now Under this unconstitutional regulation, it could be considered "workplace harassment" to not refer to a co-worker by their preferred pronouns, to maintain separate bathrooms based on biological sex rather than "gender identity," or to speak up against abortion.
