** Is Georgia Prosperous?
------------------------------------------------------------

On Monday, Feb. 17th we hosted the Legatum Institute, a London-based think tank working to address poverty on an international scale. They presented their first-ever United States Prosperity Index ([link removed]) (USPI), which they focused on Georgia's rankings. This was the first comprehensive assessment of all aspects of prosperity across America. It measured the extent to which all 50 states plus Washington, D.C. have open economies, inclusive societies, and empowered people.

Our discussion centered on the findings and how they are defining scalable policy solutions that will effect real change in breaking the cycle of poverty. We also took a dive into how Georgia can thrive and excel in the areas of immediate access to education and employment opportunities.

What did we learn? There are opportunities for change in Georgia - both socially and economically.
