Did you know that almost 40% of young people between the ages of 12 and 17 have been bullied online, and that 30% have had it happen more than once? October is National Bullying Prevention Month, which is a great time to talk to children about bullying, and to brush up on how to prevent cyberbullying ([link removed]) .

A study shows that one in three children with food allergies have experienced food allergy-related bullying. Because children are often reluctant to open up about bullying, we asked the study authors for some tips for talking to kids about food allergy-related bullying.

Teens who experience bullying are twice as likely to consider suicide and nearly two-and-a-half times as likely to attempt suicide. We spoke with psychologist Dr. Adelaide Robb about the connection between bullying and adolescent suicide and what you can do to help your kids.
