Happy World Teachers’ Day, everyone.

My mother was a public school teacher in Greenbelt – so I know firsthand how hard teachers work for their students. I’m also grateful for the positive impact teachers have had on me throughout my years in education.

Teachers are critical for the success of our country. When they're given the resources they need to succeed, our students perform better in the classroom. It’s a positive cycle that uplifts our younger generation.

Maryland teachers are absolute rockstars and I’m so proud of the work they are doing to support our students.

So, this World Teachers Day, join me in thanking them for all of the work they do for our students. Please sign this thank you card letting teachers know how much we appreciate them.
