This is an important moment, and your legislators need to hear from you. We are closer than ever to passing the Humane Cosmetics Act to protect countless animals from cosmetics testing. But even though this bill has overwhelming support from the public and major personal care products companies, it still hasn’t moved in Congress!

In cosmetics testing labs, gentle rabbits are restrained in order to have chemicals dripped in their eyes or smeared on their skin. In what is known as "lethal dose" tests, rats are forced to swallow large amounts of chemicals to determine the dose that causes death. Virtually all of these tests are conducted without pain relief. And when the animals can no longer endure any more damage, they’re killed.

Cosmetics testing on animals is outdated and ineffective, and there’s no reason any animal should suffer for the sake of perfume or nail polish. And I know you agree.

Speak out in support of the Humane Cosmetics Act to ban cruel cosmetics testing on animals. ([link removed]) Your legislator needs to hear from you NOW so we can pass this lifesaving bill!
