In cosmetics testing labs, gentle rabbits are restrained in order to have chemicals dripped in their eyes or smeared on their skin. In what is known as "lethal dose" tests, rats are forced to swallow large amounts of chemicals to determine the dose that causes death. Virtually all of these tests are conducted without pain relief. And when the animals can no longer endure any more damage, they’re killed.
Cosmetics testing on animals is outdated and ineffective, and there’s no reason any animal should suffer for the sake of perfume or nail polish. And I know you agree.
