We are making our gardens better

Nottingham City Libraries was successful in securing funding administered by Arts Council England for the "One Hyson: Growing Together" project to enhance the garden located at Hyson Green Library.

The project's main objective is to rejuvenate and ensure the long-term sustainability of the garden, which is shared between the library and the Acorn Resource Centre day care services. The transformation aims to make it into a beautiful oasis for all sorts of activities and events.

How you can support us

If you enjoy gardening, we are looking for local volunteers to help us maintain and improve the gardens at The Meadows Library and Strelley Library.?

Green Libraries Manifesto
manifesto [ [link removed] ]

We are excited to announce that we have signed up for the Green Libraries Manifesto. This commitment joins us with many other library services around the country, with the goal of placing environmental sustainability at the core of our decision-making process.

Our aim is to help people find reliable information to explore issues related to sustainability and climate change and to work in partnership with others to raise awareness of green programs and initiatives.
