Library gardens are fantastic spots to read, relax, and join in all sorts of fun activities. They're like outdoor havens that add a big splash of happiness and well-being to your library experience!
Did you know that we have 9 libraries with small gardens in the city??
Pop in to any ot these libraries and enjoy our outdoor space:
Aspley, Basford, Bilborough, Dale Centre, Hyson Green, Radford-Lenton, Strelley Road, The Meadows, and Wollaton.
Nottingham City Libraries was successful in securing funding administered by Arts Council England for the "One Hyson: Growing Together" project to enhance the garden located at Hyson Green Library.
The project's main objective is to rejuvenate and ensure the long-term sustainability of the garden, which is shared between the library and the Acorn Resource Centre day care services. The transformation aims to make it into a beautiful oasis for all sorts of activities and events.
If you enjoy gardening, we are looking for local volunteers to help us maintain and improve the gardens at The Meadows Library and Strelley Library.? |

Our aim is to help people find reliable information to explore issues related to sustainability and climate change and to work in partnership with others to raise awareness of green programs and initiatives.
