Leader McCarthy and the party's extreme wing that leads him by the nose are leading us down a dangerous path toward another government shutdown.

A government shutdown would be not only catastrophic to our economy but also to government workers, veterans, and anyone who relies on the government for a paycheck or critical services. Using the lives of thousands of Americans as a bargaining chip is not just immoral, it’s no way to legislate.

I’m outraged at my colleagues for putting political games before the needs of the American people.
