The first votes in the 2024 presidential election will be cast in less
than four months. 

And right now, we should be alarmed.

A brand-new—and utterly terrifying—Washington Post-ABC poll released over
the weekend shows Donald Trump leading President Joe Biden by 10 points.^1
While so far the poll appears to be an outlier—albeit from a very
high-quality pollster—we still should be unnerved that every other major
poll shows the race is neck and neck.^2

We can't take anything for granted this presidential election. Which is
why MoveOn has sophisticated data scientists and analytics experts on our
team to execute a strategic, innovative, and evidence-based
get-out-the-vote campaign to win in 2024.

John, the heart of MoveOn's get-out-the-vote campaign is a
revolutionary voter turnout method proven to be five times more effective
than traditional tactics like door-knocking or cold-calling voters.

It's called "vote tripling," and it relies on psychological and behavioral
research that shows that people are more likely to take action when
prompted by trusted sources like family and friends.


That's why vote tripling involves getting voters to reach out to their own
friends and family members to help them make a plan to vote. 

MoveOn first deployed this tactic in 2020, and data shows that it helped
to turn out tens of thousands of voters in key battleground districts and
states!

John, we know MoveOn's vote-tripling program works, because
MoveOn's data scientists ran a rigorous scientific experiment to determine
the impact of our work.

During the 2022 election, MoveOn's Analytics Team randomly split voters in
key districts and states into two groups.

The first group (the control group) did not receive any communications
from MoveOn about the election and voting. The second group (the treatment
group) received MoveOn's text messages, postcards, digital ads, and
more to get out to vote.

This experimental design allowed us to measure the impact of our overall
election program. And what we found was that our program led to a
statistically significant increase in voter turnout—meaning tens of
