We're just one day away from hosting the Little Amal: As Close to Home Welcome Walk in Dearborn's historic South End! Don't miss the chance to watch Little Amal ([link removed]) come to life in a unique production that tells the heart wrenching story of a 12-foot puppet of a 10-year-old Syrian refugee child and her search for home.
This parade-style gathering promises to be a sensory experience with the power to foster change and inclusivity in a beautiful community that has become home for many immigrants. Little Amal's story is our story, and by welcoming Little Amal together, we can be a part of something truly special.
This free and open to the public event will also provide a rare opportunity to connect with like-minded individuals who share a passion for making a positive impact. In an effort to strengthen the voice of displaced families everywhere, those attending are encouraged to make and bring a welcome sign to give a warm welcome to Little Amal! Thank you for your continuous support, and we look forward to sharing this amazing experience together.

About ACCESS
ACCESS has been serving the community for more than 50 years. Founded by a group of dedicated volunteers in 1971 out of a storefront in Dearborn’s impoverished south end, ACCESS was created to help the influx of Arab immigrants adapt to life in the United States. Today, ACCESS is the most comprehensive Arab American community nonprofit in the United States. Providing more than 1 million services each year, ACCESS offers a wide range of social, economic, health and educational services to anyone that walks through its doors. ACCESS’ national reach includes the establishment of four national institutions: the Arab American National Museum (AANM); the National Network for Arab American Communities (NNAAC); the Center for Arab American Philanthropy (CAAP); and the Center for Arab Narratives (CAN).
