FairVote Minnesota staff and volunteers have been out in the community helping to educate voters about the upcoming ranked-choice elections. It is so rewarding to talk to voters about important races in their community and the power of RCV. If you would like to join our voter outreach and education efforts, sign up here [[link removed]] . There are lots of ways you can help –– from tabling at community events, to phone banking, to knocking on doors. And whatever time you have, we can accommodate your schedule.
In addition to educating voters about RCV, FairVote MN also educates the media about ranked-choice elections and how they work. Our second media memo to educate the press, candidates and other interested parties on RCV elections is hot off the presses this week [[link removed]] ! You can read our first media memo covering how RCV works, Minnesota’s experience with RCV, and FairVote MN’s education efforts here [[link removed]] .
And Minnetonka voters (as you may already know from our many communications 😅), you have a critical city question on the ballot this fall: whether to repeal ranked choice voting and revert back to the old two-step municipal primary system in place prior to 2020. We urge you to VOTE NO on REPEAL and help spread the word with your friends, family and neighbors in Minnetonka! You can find out more at the Vote No on Repeal website [[link removed]] and our press release [[link removed]] issued just last week.

Sept. 28 event: Artificial Intelligence Impact on American Campaigns and Elections
In addition to local races in the news, we are sure you have heard about the rising impact and potential threat of Artificial Intelligence, or AI. Disinformation has been an ongoing threat to our democracy but AI heightens and expands the potential for those threats. Please join Clean Elections MN on Sept. 28 at 7:00 PM CT via Zoom in for a conversation on how AI will impact our elections with a special guest, Dr. Darrell West of the Brookings Institution.
