Last week's inflation report showed a year-over-year CPI going in the wrong
direction, up to 3.7%. This is the second consecutive report showing an
uptick in inflation, complicating the White House Bidenomics narrative that
inflation is coming down. Our latest Presidential Inflation Rate shows a
cumulative rate of 17.4%, meaning prices have gone up over 17% since
President Biden took office. This uptick was driven by gas prices, with gas

Letter from Republican senators slams change

in dress code enforcement

All but three Republican senators published a letter to Senate Majority
Leader Charles E. Schumer (D-N.Y.) on Tuesday, blasting his decision to
stop enforcing the requirement of business attire on the Senate floor as
disrespectful.

The policy change means the nation's 100 senators have free rein to choose
how they dress while they conduct some of the nation's most important
business. The Senate previously followed an unwritten and unevenly enforced
policy that encouraged men to wear suits and ties and women to cover their
arms.

The 46 Republican senators who objected to stopping enforcement of this
rule argued that a dress code upholds the sanctity of the institution. They

North Dakota Gov. Doug Burgam vows that his Republican White House campaign
will not be sidetracked if he falls short in his bid to qualify for next
week's second GOP presidential nomination debate.

" We're going to keep charging forward," Burgum told Fox News Digital.

However, Burgum's campaign and an allied super PAC are making major
investments this week in trying to boost the national ID of a politician
who is far from a household name outside his native North Dakota in an
attempt to make the stage.

Burgum has just under a week to qualify for the second debate, a FOX
Business and Univision hosted showdown Wednesday, Sept. 27, at the Ronald

year, the government is laying out the welcome mat.

Public-sector jobs at the federal, state, and local level have risen by
327,000 positions so far in 2023, according to the Bureau of Labor
Statistics. That is approaching one-fifth of all new American jobs created
in the first eight months of the year. In contrast, public-sector jobs
accounted for 5% of employment growth during the equivalent period last
year.

"After two years of very underwhelming government hiring, it's a necessary
catch-up," said Julia Pollak, an economist at online jobs site

North Carolina Republicans seek control over state and local election
boards ahead of 2024

Republicans who control the North Carolina legislature with veto-proof
majorities are close to wresting supervision of elections from the governor
and the governor's party - almost always the Democrats for over a century.

A bill that could reach Gov. Roy Cooper's desk this week would, among other
changes, take away from him and future governors the power to appoint
members of the State Board of Elections. It would give that authority to
legislative leaders instead.

[6]The legislation also could lead to the ouster of the top elections
administrator ahead of the next presidential election in a state where
former President Donald Trump squeezed out a razor-thin win over Democrat
Joe Biden in 2020. North Carolina was Trump's narrowest victory that year,

as a work stoppage unfolds against the three largest motor vehicle
manufacturers in the U.S. and offers Trump an opportunity to deliver a
message to a key voting bloc in a pivotal battleground state, Michigan.

Twitter, on Thursday. "Here's McCarthy forcing an AP reporter to admit that
there was lots of evidence to support an impeachment inquiry."
