I've always been drawn to service.
After graduating high school I took the first airplane flight of my life for
basic training and began my 22-year career in the Army. I was deployed to the
Iraq War, Guantanamo Bay, Kuwait, and the Korean DMZ.

During my time in the Michigan State Senate, I voted against sending taxpayer
money to Chinese communist-owned factories, pushed for reinvestment in American
energy, and defended small businesses from the left's anti-small business
agenda.
I want to continue helping our nation by making positive change, but I need

They recently attacked for being "extreme."

Why should I apologize for being so passionate about our great country that I
