It’s about to be introduced by Rep. Clyde…
<[link removed]>
John,
Rep. Andrew Clyde is about to introduce a bill to BLOCK the ATF’s new rule
implementing backdoor Universal Background Registration Checks.
His bill would “prohibit the use of Federal funds to finalize, implement, or
enforce” the rule, leaving the ATF powerless to use it against gun owners.
But to improve the bill’s odds of passing, Rep. Clyde personally asked GOA to
help him get more original co-sponsors.
That’s why we’re turning to our army of grassroots activists and asking you to
contact your Representative to ensure his bill gets as many original
co-sponsors as possible.
Please add your name to our prewritten letter urging your Representative to
help us BLOCK the ATF’s new rule by co-sponsoring Rep. Clyde’s bill.

The ATF’s new rule is a catastrophe for gun owners.
It could require anyone who earns a profit from selling even just a single
firearm to obtain a Federal Firearm License and perform a background
registration check.
There’s a reason I keep using the term “background registration check”...
…by virtually outlawing all private firearm sales and requiring all
transactions to be conducted through a federally licensed dealer, the ATF will
be able to access the personal information of almost anyone who buys a gun.
I shudder to think that a rogue government agency – one that has already
compiled an illegal gun registry – could soon possess records of almost every
firearm sale in America.
Every politician who calls themselves “pro-gun” needs to rally behind Rep.
Clyde’s bill and help undo this disaster enabled by the Cornyn-Murphy gun
control sellout before it’s too late.
So please, add your name to our prewritten letter urging your Representative
to help us BLOCK the ATF’s new rule by co-sponsoring Rep. Clyde’s bill.
