| The ATF’s new rule is a catastrophe for gun owners. | | It could require anyone who earns a profit from selling even just a single firearm to obtain a Federal Firearm License and perform a background registration check. | | There’s a reason I keep using the term “background registration check”... | | …by virtually outlawing all private firearm sales and requiring all transactions to be conducted through a federally licensed dealer, the ATF will be able to access the personal information of almost anyone who buys a gun. | | I shudder to think that a rogue government agency – one that has already compiled an illegal gun registry – could soon possess records of almost every firearm sale in America. | | Every politician who calls themselves “pro-gun” needs to rally behind Rep.
