([link removed])Dear John,
Thank you in advance for stepping up and supporting the people who’ve been impacted by the devastating flooding in eastern Libya. The situation is shocking. Tens of thousands of people have been displaced.
UNHCR support has already reached those who have lost their homes, including in Derna, the worst-hit city. We have assisted more than 1,200 people – internally displaced people, those newly displaced, refugees and asylum-seekers – by:
Dispatching emergency supplies, including blankets, plastic sheeting, kitchen sets, hygiene kits and clothes
Expanding our hotline to provide advice and assistance.Donations like yours([link removed]) will really make a difference in the lives of the people affected by this tragedy.
You’ll be hearing more soon from my colleagues on the ground in Libya.
