Hi John,
Yesterday in Congress, the Boundary Waters was a focal point of two Congressional hearings. One promoted more copper mining in our public lands, especially near the Boundary Waters, and the other hearing sought to limit our ability to defend the Boundary Waters in court.
The attacks our Wilderness faces are mounting. This onslaught of anti-public lands and pro-extraction legislation and anti-Wilderness Congressional hearings are only ramping up. Representative Stauber and his cronies are doing everything they can to destroy the hard-fought for and won protections we achieved earlier this year.

This upcoming election cycle is crucial. We will be fighting tooth and nail to protect wild places from exploitation. We must elect people who will stand up for the Boundary Waters in the face of the overwhelming money and influence the mining companies spread around the halls of DC and St. Paul.
But we need your help. [[link removed]]
Will you please donate now, so we can start this election season strong? [[link removed]]
We’ll endorse and support candidates who vow to protect the Boundary Waters from sulfide-ore copper mining permanently. We’ll be in the field with candidates and their teams, we’ll run targeted get out the vote ads, and we’ll strategically make sure the Boundary Waters is front and center.
Thank you for your support, we cannot rest easy while Rep. Stauber and his anti-Wilderness buddies keep attacking our Boundary Waters.
