Hunger Champion,
Did you get a chance to open my message from last week? We launched a September fundraiser to help support school garden programs ([link removed] ) in South Africa, and if you haven’t had a chance to give toward our $25,000 goal yet, there’s still time ([link removed] ) ! This goal represents the average cost of implementing a school garden program at an Early Childhood Development program, serving children ages 0-6.
I’m excited to share that in the past week, generous donors have donated $1,204 to this campaign. Will you help us implement more school gardens that can each support up to 700 children and school staff? We know that when our global community of Hunger Champions comes together, we can reach our goal. Give now ([link removed] ) !

Dear Hunger Champion,
This month, I’d like to invite you to be part of a program to provide fresh fruits and vegetables to children ages 0-6.
In South Africa, we’re implementing school gardens at Early Childhood Development Centers (ECDs). These gardens support long-term food security through the cultivation of fresh produce ([link removed] ) to complement Rise Against Hunger meals and improve children’s quality of life.

I will share an example with you: In partnership with Orange Farm Lakeside in Johannesburg, we’re harvesting vegetables and providing produce ([link removed] ) to local ECDs. But the program did not stop there – parents also received training to start their own gardens, improving access to nutrition, food security and self-sufficiency.
Each garden can nourish up to 700 children, families and school staff. Your gift today ([link removed] ) can truly harvest nutrition and hope for small children during the most critical phase of their development.
