** UNITE TO ACT Digital Art Exhibition

The UN SDG Action Campaign and Code Green are thrilled to present the UNITE TO ACT Digital Art Exhibition ([link removed]) featuring works by a diverse array of international artists and dedicated to inspiring a sustainable future through creativity and art. Featured artists will include New York-based Indonesian artist Foodmasku, singer-songwriter and UNCCD Goodwill Ambassador Inna Modja, MCSK - Marco Conti Sikic, and Venezuelan multidisciplinary artist Alejandra Her.

The exhibition will be showcased from 18 to 20 September at the Sustainability Summit NYC ([link removed]) in partnership with the Consulate General of Denmark in New York during the 2023 Global Week to #Act4SDGs and on the margins of the UN SDG Summit ([link removed]) .

The UN SDG Action Campaign and Code Green’s Unite to Act artwork on Peace, "Infinite" by MCSK - Marco Conti Sikic ([link removed]) , will be unveiled at the International Peace Day Youth Event ([link removed]) , which provides a platform for young people to showcase the actions they have taken in their communities to help accelerate progress towards achieving SDG 16 and fostering peace.

SDG Metaverse: Breaking Boundaries and Uniting Worlds

The UN SDG Action Campaign and Morean ([link removed]) are partnering to launch the first ever SDG stunt in the Metaverse. From atop a virtual Berlin TV tower ([link removed]) , individuals can use their unique avatars and take a metaverse stunt photo to show their commitment in uniting to #Act4SDGs. Enhancing, Advocacy, Financing and Accountability: Key Messages from Civil Society to the SDG Summit and Beyond

The UN SDG Action Campaign and the UN Foundation are organizing the Civil Society Dialogue ([link removed]) , on the first day of the UN SDG Action Weekend ([link removed]) , to recognize and promote civil society's critical role in achieving the SDGs and provide a platform for dialogue and exchange with high-level officials from the United Nations and representatives from civil society organizations, youth, women’s groups, persons with disabilities and indigenous groups, among others.

Action and Leadership from the Ground Up: Towards the Rescue Plan for People and the Planet

Inspiring Faith, Hope and Transformative Action to Accelerate Progress towards the SDGs

Global Week to #Act4SDGs at bus stops around New York City

18 September –
1 October
The UN SDG Action Campaign, the Joint SDG Fund, and JCDecaux have teamed up to call on citizens of the world to UNITE TO ACT. At bus stops in key locations around the UN Headquarters in New York, the UNITE TO ACT campaign’s ACTivator will be on full display to engage with citizens and passersby.
SDG Media Zone: The Future of Gender Equality

19 September
3:30pm – 4:00pm
In The Future of Gender Equality: A Conversation on Gender Balance and Women’s Empowerment, a Deutsche Welle US Correspondent will probe the current status of gender equality efforts with Denmark's former Minister of Defence Trine Bramsen, CIVICUS Secretary-General Lysa John, and UN SDG Action Campaign Global Director Marina Ponti, to hear directly from them what more can be done to achieve gender equality and empower all women and girls.

During the panel conversation, Marina Ponti will also present elements of the UNITE TO ACT Digital Art Exhibition which bridges creativity and artistry to drive inspiration for the achievement of the SDGs.

SDG Media Zone: Uniting for a Food Secure World

In Uniting for a Food Secure World: How creativity and innovation can help feed a hungry planet, RAI journalist Laura Pepe will dialogue with New York-based Indonesian food artist Foodmasku, UN SDG Action Campaign Global Director Marina Ponti, and a representative from the Italian Government on the importance of advancing sustainable food systems to achieve Agenda 2030 and how creativity and innovation play a critical role in its success.
