An update from Interim Executive Director Bilal Alkatout
Since last fall, Headwaters staff have been working to co-create Headwaters&rsquo; next chapter. We shared our last update after we had wrapped up our winter organizational retreat. Since then, we&rsquo;ve been busy and we are excited to share&nbsp;our progress with you!&nbsp;
In our latest update, Interim Executive Director Bilal Alkatout shares some of the tools we've been building to help us distribute leadership throughout the organization and democratize decision-making in our day-to-day.&nbsp;&nbsp;

Kai Anderson knows we all have a story to tell
In our latest installment of our Donor Stories project, we are excited to introduce you to
Kai Anderson<[link removed]>. Kai is a connector, convener, and equitable development advocate with deep roots in Minneapolis.&nbsp;
Kai is passionate about anti-displacement work in Minneapolis and facilitating spaces for conversations where all people can find and tell their stories of land use. In his story, Kai shares how his experience as a Black Scandinavian has challenged him to help lift up narratives of marginalized experiences toward learning, growth, and dreaming big while resisting white supremacy.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;

We are looking for a Director of Programs to join the Headwaters team!&nbsp;
&nbsp;
The Director of Programs provides strategic leadership, vision, and innovation to Headwaters' program team and advances Headwaters&rsquo; mission by overseeing grantmaking programs, support beyond the dollars, special initiatives, and fundraising aspects of the program team.&nbsp;
&nbsp;
The salary range for the position is $95,000-$103,500. Applications will be accepted until September 28, 2023 at 5 p.m.&nbsp;
