Dear Friend,
I wanted to make sure you saw our message from yesterday. You may already know that Morocco recently experienced its most devastating earthquake in 120 years, injuring and killing over 5,000 people. The aftermath of this catastrophic event has been nothing short of heartbreaking, with countless lives hanging in the balance -- and the need for urgent medical and mental health support continues to grow. Please make a gift to help survivors of this disaster and other communities in need of care.
Your generosity can make a world of difference to people facing the worst moments of their lives. Together, we can provide comfort, medical care, and HOPE to the people of Morocco and others in crisis around the world.
Thank you for your compassion and support.

What's Happening in Morocco
==============================
Friend, search and rescue efforts continue in Morocco after the strongest earthquake in 120 years struck late Friday night. The 6.8-magnitude earthquake has affected more than 300,000 people. Rescuers, including our local partners, are now working against the clock to find people trapped in the rubble.

Thanks to the support of generous donors like you, our partner SAMU has emergency responders on the ground near Adassil, a village southwest of Marrakech. They are:
* Providing medical care to survivors with two Advanced Life Support (ALS) ambulances.
* Searching for survivors with four rescue specialists and two dogs.
* Supporting health care and rescue efforts with a surgical rescue unit, three all-terrain vehicles, five doctors, two nurses and eight Health Emergency Technicians.

Dr. Borja Gonzalez de Escalada, Mission Director for SAMU, shares the challenges search and rescue team efforts are coming up against in remote parts of Morocco.
