Happy Labor Day! At Love146, this day means more than just a break. Labor Day was established in the late 19th century by the labor movement and marks significant strides in protecting the rights of workers and children.
It was once legal and commonplace for young children in the US to endure grueling work conditions, often missing out on education. ([link removed]) Though progress has been made, exploitation persists, especially among children in vulnerable groups like migrants and those in poverty. Today, more than 3 million children are being trafficked for labor and sex, according to the International Labour Organization’s estimates.
