I have a big announcement to share, team:

For this year’s incredible Carnival parade and festivities, I’ve been named Grand Marshal for this year’s parade! Thanks to the West Indian-American Day Carnival Day Association for organizing this extravagant annual parade and honoring me as one of the Grand Marshals.

Carnival is more than a party, it’s a celebration of our heritage and one of the ways we can ensure the art and culture of the Caribbean are shared in our communities and passed down to our children.

As we all know, our nation’s strength lies within its wealth of diversity and culture, and I’m honored to fight for our immigrant communities every day in Congress and celebrate with you on the streets of Brooklyn.

I hope to see you and your family at this year’s Carnival celebrations!
