John,
I'm sure you've heard the phrase "It takes a village" about raising children, right? Well, I'd like to suggest a new use for those words. It takes a village to elect women to office in America. I'll explain more in a minute, but if you are already fired up to be part of that village, please donate to EMILYs List today:

Our country still throws up all kinds of barriers for women looking to serve their country as elected officials. Women candidates face double-standards in the media regarding their "likability" and "electability" (don't even get me started on those two words) that men running for office simply don't face. Women get asked questions about juggling children and elected office that men don't get asked (trust me on that one). And, most bluntly of all, women candidates raise less money at every phase of an election cycle compared to men.
That's where my friends at EMILYs List come in. For 38 years and counting, EMILYs List has been raising money to elect Democratic pro-choice women up and down the ballot and across the nation. In almost four decades, they haven't once let up in their mission to elect more women, defeat anti-choice Republicans, and protect and expand abortion access. And on a personal note, they were instrumental partners to me and my team in our Senate wins.
We need more women in office. And women candidates running for office need support. That's why all of us need EMILYs List. John, can you take a stand today and be part of the village that helps elect more Democratic pro-choice women everywhere? Please support my friends at EMILYs List with a donation now:
