HORRIBLE: NRA tweets against an assault weapons ban just hours after the racially motivated mass shooting in Jacksonville, Florida

This is ridiculous. The NRA sent out a tweet just hours after a racist bigot entered a Dollar General with an AR-15 and killed multiple innocent people.

AR-15’s and assault-style weapons are weapons of war and don’t belong on our streets. Period.

We can’t keep living like this. Mass shootings are a regular occurrence, and 2023 is on track to be the worst year yet for gun violence.

We need to put laws in place to ensure that people feel safe going to the store, school, or the movie theater.
