Require training and licensing for gun ownership.
Require safe and secure gun storage.
Expand and strengthen background checks and waiting periods for gun purchases.
Repeal the gun industry immunity laws that protect firearm and ammunition manufacturers, dealers, and other industry members from civil lawsuits.

The US accounts for 4% of the world’s population, but Americans are 25 times more likely to be killed by a gun than other Western countries and represent 35% of global firearm suicides.
It doesn’t have to be this way – we know the policies and strategies that prevent gun violence. We only have to act.
But while Democrats have been pushing to expand gun reforms for decades, our colleagues across the aisle have refused to budge.
