of your favorite nuts, fruits, and veggies could become rarities. Tens of
thousands of plant species could die. The disappearance of pollinators would
have dire impacts on many ecosystems.
That’s why it’s so disturbing to see the dramatic pollinator declines we’re
seeing. In the past few decades alone, 87% of Rusty-Patched bumblebees, 89% of American bumblebees, and 93% of Western
bumblebees have disappeared. American bumblebees have disappeared in several states!
And neonics are a key player driving this crisis. They’re the most widely used
insecticides in the world. Even the seeds of our major crops, like corn and soy,
are coated with neonics. As a result, acres of our farm fields are toxic to
bees. And the pesticides can’t be washed off the food you eat since they’re in the food itself.

hormone disruption and autism. But still, chemical companies are contaminating

According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, about half the U.S.
population is exposed to at least one type of neonicotinoid on a regular basis.
And the greatest exposures were seen with children just three to five years old!
