Triple your impact to protect oceans:

As ocean temperatures reach record highs this summer, scientists at the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) are now predicting an above-normal Atlantic hurricane season.
Climate change is making oceans warmer and more acidic, threatening corals, fish and millions of people who rely on healthy oceans for their food and livelihoods.
Warming oceans force fish to migrate to cooler waters, which disrupts wild fisheries and can lead to overfishing, putting even more strain on ocean ecosystems and contributing to food insecurity.
Your support fuels our work addressing these challenges and empowering fishers around the world to build a more resilient future for our oceans and coastal communities.
You can join EDF in protecting our oceans and fighting climate change by donating to our Summer Match campaign. The $2-for-$1 match expires on August 31 at midnight, so you only have one week left to donate and triple your impact!

Thanks to the generous support of members like you, EDF is advancing innovative solutions to combat climate change and overfishing. Here are a few ways we’re working with fishers and other partners to protect our oceans:
# Advancing science to understand the ocean carbon cycle and develop ways to protect the world’s oceans and coastal ecosystems that store carbon.
# Allocating secure, long-term fishing rights so fishers and communities see how their conservation actions result in their share of the fishery growing over time.
# Creating the Climate Resilient Fisheries Toolkit for communities, managers and scientists to improve fisheries and marine conservation outcomes.
# Fostering a collaboration hub for small-scale fishers in more than 190 countries to develop connections, share ideas and engage in policy issues.
Donate today to support this critical work and all EDF’s work fighting climate change. Your gift will have triple the impact to ensure healthy oceans, thriving communities and a vital Earth:
