As ocean temperatures reach record highs this summer, scientists at the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) are now predicting an above-normal Atlantic hurricane season. 

Climate change is making oceans warmer and more acidic, threatening corals, fish and millions of people who rely on healthy oceans for their food and livelihoods.

Warming oceans force fish to migrate to cooler waters, which disrupts wild fisheries and can lead to overfishing, putting even more strain on ocean ecosystems and contributing to food insecurity.

  • Creating the Climate Resilient Fisheries Toolkit for communities, managers and scientists to improve fisheries and marine conservation outcomes.
  • Fostering a collaboration hub for small-scale fishers in more than 190 countries to develop connections, share ideas and engage in policy issues.
