Following the 5.1 magnitude earthquake in Ventura, our Los Angeles Fire Departmentreported ([link removed]) no damage or injuries in the City of Los Angeles. This is a reminder that earthquakes can happen at any time.
MAKE A PLAN TO PREPARE FOR EMERGENCIES HERE ([link removed])

Earlier today at the Emergency Operations Center, ([link removed]) I was joined by California Governor Gavin Newson, Chair of the Los Angeles County Board of Supervisors Janice Hahn, City Council President Paul Krekorian, Los Angeles Fire Department Chief Kristin Crowley, and other leaders for an update on Tropical Storm Hilary and the City’s response to the recent earthquake.

Through a coordinated response, our region is facing the impacts of this storm and unprecedented emergencies together. Please do your part to stay safe and informed for the duration of this crisis.
