WSJ headline: AMERICA IS WRAPPED IN MILES OF TOXIC LEAD CABLES
Telecom companies laid them decades ago and thousands were left behind, posing a hidden health hazard today, a WSJ investigation found
Team — It’s time for telecom companies to clean up their act in the Hudson Valley and across the United States.
Telecom companies knew these cables were left abandoned and did nothing to mitigate the potential harm to our communities — including right here in the Hudson Valley, where soil tested positive for heightened lead levels (including right next to a playground).
Pat is demanding answers: he’s called for a congressional hearing on this matter and is urging these companies to remove these dangerous cables immediately.
