Team,
Republicans' proposals to harm Social Security and Medicare – benefits that Americans have earned over decades of hard work – never seem to go away. Seniors deserve a dignified retirement and that means being able to afford the essentials, like food on the table and high-quality health care.
As long as Senate Democrats have anything to say about it, Social Security and Medicare aren’t going anywhere. Can you chip in $5 today to help protect and expand our Democratic Senate majority so we can keep standing up for these fundamental programs? [link removed]
Republicans actually brought a witness into one of my Senate Budget Committee hearings to try to convince us that some Social Security benefits are “too high.” I couldn’t disagree more.
Americans have earned these benefits, and I won’t stop fighting to defend them. I have a bill that would extend the life of Social Security and Medicare for generations. How? Simply by having people who make over $400k pay their fair share into the system.
I hope you’ll contribute what you can today to my re-election campaign so I can rejoin Senate Democrats to extend the life of these programs and blockade attempts to cut seniors’ hard-earned benefits >> [link removed]
Thank you,
Sheldon
