Republicans' proposals to harm Social Security and Medicare – benefits that Americans have earned over decades of hard work – never seem to go away. Seniors deserve a dignified retirement and that means being able to afford the essentials, like food on the table and high-quality health care.

As long as Senate Democrats have anything to say about it, Social Security and Medicare aren’t going anywhere. Can you chip in $5 today to help protect and expand our Democratic Senate majority so we can keep standing up for these fundamental programs?

Republicans actually brought a witness into one of my Senate Budget Committee hearings to try to convince us that some Social Security benefits are “too high.” I couldn’t disagree more.
