When I ran for commissioner of public lands in 2016, I was asked how a “little lady” like me was going to manage 6 million acres of land and a $500 million budget.

No one thought I could win. I was told to start from the ground up and wait my turn. But I knew I had the vision, values, passion, and determination to take Washington further.

Together we broke barriers electing me as only the second woman elected as commissioner of public lands. Now, I'm running for governor to continue delivering meaningful change that will last for generations to come.
