Earlier this year I was appointed to the Regional Leadership Council, an initiative from Democratic Leader Hakeem Jeffries. We’re tasked with lifting up Democrats’ various legislative successes from the last few years and highlighting the on-the-ground implementation in our communities.

🏥 Capping the cost of insulin at $35 per month for Medicare users → millions of Americans are saving through this provision, passed in the prior Congress and commenced in 2023. Furthermore, the IRA got drugmaker Eli Lilly to cap their insulin prices – lowering prescription drug prices for even more Americans.
