Earlier this year I was appointed to the Regional Leadership Council, an initiative from Democratic Leader Hakeem Jeffries. We’re tasked with lifting up Democrats’ various legislative successes from the last few years and highlighting the on-the-ground implementation in our communities.
Friend, the legislation we passed in the last two Congresses addresses real needs and challenges faced by Americans nationwide, and I wanted to update you on investments from the Inflation Reduction Act right here in the Keystone State:
- $1.16 billion to install high-speed, affordable internet in rural and underserved communities → This means over 276,000 homes and businesses will be connected – creating new jobs along the way.
- Capping the cost of insulin at $35 per month for Medicare users → this provision, which passed in the previous Congress and commenced in 2023, is helping millions of Americans save money – including my constituents right here in Montgomery and Berks Counties.
The anniversary of the Inflation Reduction Act becoming law is coming up, and I want to hear from you.
