Having a baby is tough, too. There’s lots of screaming and crying, poop gets everywhere, and you don’t get any sleep. Now that I think about it, it’s a lot like running for office…

John, I’m writing because my friend and former Senate counsel Josh Riley is doing BOTH. First, I laughed and told him he was crazy. When I realized he wasn’t joking, I said I’d help!

The bills we worked on together expanded rights for survivors of domestic abuse and provided new funding for addiction treatment and mental health programs. Now, Josh is running for Congress without taking any corporate PAC money. He knows it’s not the easy route, but it’s the right thing to do.
