Stand with the Wet'suwet'en.
Emergency Action Needed.

Recent events on Wet'suwet'en territory in northern B.C. are a stain on
Canada's relations with Indigenous Peoples. Canada cannot say it will
implement the UN Declaration on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples (UNDRIP)
and then send in armed police to prevent hereditary chiefs from blocking a
pipeline project they didn't consent to in the first place.

Sadly, Tuesday's emergency debates in the House of Commons proved once
again that the Liberals, NDP and Conservatives aren't prepared to solve
this crisis. Justin Trudeau, Jagmeet Singh and B.C. NDP Premier John Horgan
are content to point fingers at each other and wish the problem away.

WE’RE GOING TO HOLD THIS GOVERNMENT ACCOUNTABLE. THAT’S WHY THE GREEN
PARTY CAUCUS, LED BY ELIZABETH MAY, HAS PUT OUT AN URGENT CALL TO GREENS
EVERYWHERE.

WE NEED EVERY CANADIAN WHO VALUES JUSTICE, DIGNITY AND HUMAN RIGHTS TO SIGN
OUR PETITION calling on the government to order the RCMP to stand down
against the Wet'suwet'en and Indigenous land defenders across the country.

Respect Indigenous Rights. Call off the RCMP.

FOR EVERY 25 SIGNATURES WE GATHER ON PAPER, GREEN MPS GET AN OPPORTUNITY TO
TAKE A STAND IN THE HOUSE OF COMMONS. If we get enough signatures, all
three Green MPs can stand up day after day and demand to know why the
government is not putting an end to this flagrant violation of Indigenous
rights.
