On August 2, 2023, the Liquor and Cannabis Board (LCB) took the following action:

*Proposed rules filed ? Public comment period now open: *

The Board approved a rule proposal (CR 102) to implement legislation passed during the 2023 legislative session, specifically, Engrossed Substitute House Bill (ESHB) 1731 (chapter 257, Laws of 2023 [ [link removed] ]) which created a permit allowing short term rental operators to provide complimentary bottles of wine to renters 21 years of age and older so long as several conditions are met, and allows permit holders to obtain wine directly from wine distributors.
