Dear John,

Let’s start with the most exciting news first: the FDA has approved the first over-the-counter birth control pill in the US, Opill! 🎉🎉🎉

I had the privilege of testifying before the FDA advisory committee in support of Opill alongside four fellow PRH doctors, young people, and experts – and I am elated to see access to birth control increase for so many communities. While access to over-the-counter contraception is not a magic bullet in this shifting landscape, it is a critical step as we work to broaden access to comprehensive reproductive health care.

We will continue to use the power of physician advocacy to remove obstacles to care, expand access, and fight for impacted communities. In that spirit, I hope you will watch my recent interview on MSNBC that digs into how extreme abortion bans are worsening the maternal mortality crisis [[link removed]].

Your generous support makes this multifaceted advocacy work possible day after day, benefiting millions in need. Please donate to PRH today [[link removed]].

With gratitude,

—Dr. Jamila Perritt, President & CEO
