Back in 2019, I knew that MAGA Madness and the candidates who were
promoting it were a threat that needed to be taken on directly. That is
why I launched The Next 50, an organization supporting a new generation of
leaders in the Democratic Party who were taking on extreme MAGA candidates
across the country — candidates like George Santos.

Santos and his MAGA friends are not just an embarrassment to our district,
they are a threat to one of our most basic values: that our leaders should
conduct themselves honestly and with integrity, acting always in the
public’s interest rather than their own.

With someone like Santos representing my home district, I knew I had to do
something. So, I jumped in the race — and together, we are off to a strong
start.

But Election Day 2024 will be here before we know it. We need to keep building
our movement so that we can fight back against all the money Republicans
will be pouring into this district to try to hold on to this seat (and
their House majority).
