Back in 2019, I knew that MAGA Madness and the candidates who were promoting it were a threat that needed to be taken on directly. That is why I launched The Next 50, an organization supporting a new generation of leaders in the Democratic Party who were taking on extreme MAGA candidates across the country — candidates like George Santos.
Santos and his MAGA friends are not just an embarrassment to our district, they are a threat to one of our most basic values: that our leaders should conduct themselves honestly and with integrity, acting always in the public’s interest rather than their own.
