The Innovation and Change team in Parking, Fleet and Transport Services are looking to recruit a Workplace Parking Levy (WPL)Project Support Officer.
Nottingham City Council is the only local authority in Europe to have implemented and operateda WPL scheme.Nottingham's multi-award winning scheme has been successful in constraining congestion growth and improving air quality. Since 2012, the scheme has generated almost 64million of new revenue. The revenue generated has resulted in significant inward investment that has directly facilitated major step-change improvements in public transport infrastructure in Nottingham.
The primary purpose of the WPL Project Support Officer role is to support the WPL team with daily project management and other improvement projects and programmes. The post holder will work on projects associated with the commercialisation of WPL products and services, including delivery of contracts obtained.
The post holder will also work on projects associated with the operation, improvement and expansion of other Parking, Fleet and Transport Services' operations.
*ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS:***
* Knowledge of project management principles
* Experience of working on the support and delivery of projects, policy development, cross-departmental and multi-agency working
* Ability to produce accurate, clear and concise information in appropriate forms including statistical data, reports and publicity material
* Proven ability to solve complex problems and able to negotiate and build consensus towards proactive solutions
* Knowledge of, and an interest in, carbon neutral and air quality management initiatives
