Dear NCRC members and allies,
As we celebrate Presidents Day, we pause to reflect on its complete history. The founders of our nation were not mythical heroes. In some ways they established a revolutionary new government for the times, but our country was still built by the hands of Black slaves, on land stolen from Native Americans.

The discrimination we see today is the lingering racism hardcoded into our nation’s foundation. This is not something that can be fixed overnight. We are struggling to right centuries of wrongs. But we can’t afford to sit and wait for someone else to save our communities.

Every year, we gather and learn from the practitioners and community leaders who are doing this work on the ground. We do our best to learn from and support each other in this fight for economic justice.

We hope that you can join us at the 2020 Just Economy Conference ([link removed][UNIQID]) , April 27 – 29 in Washington, D.C., and join us in our fight.
