This week the most extreme wing of the GOP hijacked the National Defense Authorization Act to achieve their extreme social goals.

This traditionally bipartisan bill meant to fund the U.S. military and defense priorities became a fiasco designed by the far-right to air their cultural grievances and restrict the rights and freedoms of millions of hard-working families.

Congress should be in the business of strengthening and expanding our freedoms and rights, not taking them away.
